Great turnout on Tuesday 23rd June for the 5th round of the Covic Shield - vets comp between the local clubs round Franklin, south auckland and northern waikato. Thanks to all who attended and congratulations to the Awhitu team who won the day, particularly Andy Meyers - winner of the coveted claret jacket for player of the day. Also Steve Dowd and his team for presenting the course in great condition, the Club Cafe at Awhitu Golf Club team, and club's volunteers who made the day go smoothly.

We hosted 17 teams for a full house at the Brook Rd Clubrooms on King’s Birthday Weekend Saturday. Here’s what people said “Our team enjoyed the night immensely…” “Great night tonight thanks. Good having some local music talent around to round off the night. Really enjoyed it”. Here’s some photos and thanks to all who attended and/or bought silent auction items. Special thanks to our committee and volunteers who helped out on the night (they know who they are), Rick Shirley who performed a set of dancing tunes at the end of the quiz, and our sponsors who donated items for the silent auction. Rob and Maree Craig put on a great day for us on 24 September (as we eased in to daylight saving) with a prize table as good as you’d ever see - including a Lydia Ko Golf Umbrella - which we raffled and drew on the day.
